Ubuntu I guess, almost eveyone will arrive to this.  After using DOS 6.22, Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, soon Windows 7, we must come out of our comfort zone.  Let’s try something new, let’s see what the heck is up with these open source madness.

For me, since I have a fast PC (read here), I decided to install Ubuntu.  So I downloaded the Ubuntu Installer ISO file here, Windows Virtual PC 2007 here, VMWare here and Virtual box here.  OpenOffice for Linux here.  Mozilla Firefox for Linux here.  You gotta love this Open Source craze.

I plan to test Ubuntu first on a Virtual Machine before installing it permanently on a harddrive since I still have an extra 40GB hard disk lying around.  So which Virtual Machine will enable me to start learning Ubuntu?

If anyone reads this, I need some help:  How to setup my DSL Internet Connection in Ubuntu?

More to come.
